The entire CFG folder works, when it comes to the game, like when you exec stuff through console etc.The userdata folder is more of a 'copy and paste' thing, so it just takes your config, and video.txt and completely ignores the rest of what is in your cfg folder, and that userdata folder usually have priority, and it won't take your autoexec either.So you might aswell delete config + video from your steamapps/cfg folder, and keep them in the userdata. Then keep your autoexec and other custom cfgs to be in the steamapps folder.

There are literally hundreds of different options out there to choose from. There are configs out there designed to assist with your rates and network performance, configs for FPS, configs out there with autobuy features in them to bind certain functions to certain keys, etc.It's best to decide what you need first, then look for a config that comes close to meeting your needs. I'm familiar with the fact that the launch options may pose issues for some users. I use them (and have for ages) without issue/s. Like everything within the guide, I'm only presenting it for users to try and test what works best for them. There are other launch options I haven't included simply because they don't suit the texture of this guide in terms of potentially increasing performance.Good input, though.
